A Canadian border worker at the Peace Bridge is charged with helping to smuggle tobacco from the U.S. The RCMP says he was caught during a joint forces investigation into contraband tobacco being brought into Canada by the truckload.

Thirty-seven year-old Chad Gale of Welland has been charged with breach of trust. Others are under arrest but no names have been released.
