After the time-traveling hijinks of the 70s set X-Men: Days of Future Past, the team of young mutants sport their best 80s outfits in this Bryan Singer directed sequel featuring returning favourites like Evan Peter’s Quicksilver and new recruits like Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey. Fans showed up in theatres for this one with the film earning over $542-million worldwide, but that amount was down from Future Past’s tally. The home video release for the film comes in both 3D and 4K varieties as well as the standard Blu-ray and DVD packages and features an hour-long documentary called “X-Men: Apocalypse Unearthed”, audio commentary from Singer and writer Simon Kinberg, a gag reel and deleted scenes.

The Daniel Radcliffe farting corpse movie. That’s what Swiss Army Man was being called after it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Judging by that description, one might pass it off as another raunchy comedy, but those who looked past the quick description discovered a film that had more depth and nuance than they would have ever expected. Rotten Tomato ratings of 67% and 80% from critics and audiences respectively are a testament that this film is definitely worth seeing, and now you can in the comfort of your home. The home video release of the film features a Q&A and audio commentary from the directors, “Behind the Scenes” and “Making of Manny” featurettes, deleted scenes and more.

Making over $116-million at the box office, Election Year was the highest earning Purge film yet so keep your eyes peeled for a potential sequel down the road.
