When he’s not tearing up the screen as Detective Sherlock Holmes or Smaug the Dragon, Benedict Cumberbatch takes to the stage for various theatre productions. His latest, Shakespeare’s Hamlet, was staged at London’s Barbican Theatre this year and became the fastest-selling theatre show in British history. Now audiences will have a chance to see the production streamed live in their local cinema thanks to the National Theatre Live program.

Rufus Norris, the Artistic Director of the National Theatre, talked with us about Hamlet last month at the Toronto International Film Festival.

You can visit the National Theatre Live website for more screening information.
