The family of Mohamed Fahmy says Canadian efforts to free the Canadian journalist from an Egyptian jail have been weak and ineffective. They are now calling on the Prime Minister to get directly involved.
#HaperCallEgypt is the banner of the on-line campaign to pressure the Prime Minister into direct action.
Harper shuffled his cabinet this week and the Fahmy file has now fallen to newly-appointed foreign affairs minister Rob Nicholson who told us that the government is doing all that it can on his case.
