Ice bucket challenge raises $10 million in Canada

Canadians have donated a whopping $10 million for ALS through the ice bucket challenge.

That money will help families living with ALS, and fund ALS research, in hopes of finding a treatment.

ALS Canada and ALS provincial societies have issued a public thank you to Canadians for their support and generosity.

ALS is a terminal disease characterized by progressive paralysis of muscles throughout the body. An estimated 3,000 Canadians have the disease, but there are currently no effective treatment options.
