Road safety awareness

It’s Canada Road Safety Week, a national campaign with the goal of making our roads the safest in the world.

Halton Police are doing their part, checking vehicles just north of Oakville, reminding people that an essential part of the enforcement job is to save lives and reduce injuries on roadways.

The national campaign also focuses on driving behaviors that put people at risk. These include impaired driving, distracted driving and not wearing a seat belt.
