No Clue

Canadian comedian Brent Butt is well known for his small screen efforts like Corner Gas and Hiccups, but he makes the move to the big screen this weekend with No Clue. The Saskatchewan native stars as Leo, a specialty advertisement salesman who pretends to be a private detective when Kyra (played by Amy Smart) enters his office in search of her missing brother. Not only does the award winning comedian star in the movie, he also serves as writer and producer.
David Koechner (Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) also stars in the Canadian comedy, which was shot entirely in British Columbia. Butt was keen on making his first feature film in the mystery genre. “I’m a big fan of the who-done-its. From old time detective movies to the more contemporary stories and everything in between,” he explains, “so I wanted to write a movie that was true to that genre. I wanted to do a dark murder mystery that just happens to be funny because the main character is in way over his head.”
No Clue is rated PG.
