The Invisible Woman

Ralph Fiennes puts on his director’s cap for the first time since his 2011 debut Coriolanus. The Invisible Woman tells the story of Charles Dickens, famed writer of such classics of English literature as Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities, The Adventures of Oliver Twist, and more. Specifically the film focuses on Dickens’ secret mistress Nelly.
Based on the 1991 novel of the same name by Dickens biographer Nelly Ternan, Fiennes admitted to being pretty naive about the famous writer before he began the project. The Invisible Woman premiered at the Telluride Film Festival where it garnered favourable reviews from critics.
The Invisible Woman is rated PG.
