Charges to be laid in Kitchener murder

Police say a man will be formally charged with first-degree murder today, in the death of a woman whose body was found floating in the Grand River.

The body of Erin Howlett, 28, was discovered by teenagers swimming in the Grand on July 5th. Howlett was last heard from on June 27th when she left Elmira for Toronto with an unknown friend.

A 22 year old man was arrested yesterday in Kitchener and is in court today to face the murder charge, as well as some additional charges.
