New Trailer // Maleficent

We finally get a look at Disney’s live-action Sleeping Beauty prequel Maleficent.  The film, which stars Angelina Jolie in the lead role, tells the story of Sleeping Beauty from the perspective of the villain, going back to Maleficent’s early days as the protector of the forest and the fairy kingdom.  First time director Robert Stromberg helmed the project, he has won academy awards for production designer for his work on Avatar and Alice in Wonderland.  That visual style looks to be on full display in the newest. Elle Fanning co-stars as Princess Aurora.
