Luka Magnotta pleaded not guilty in a Montreal courtroom Wednesday to charges in connection with the dismemberment of Concordia University student Jun Lin last May.

The 31-year old Magnotta faces five charges, including first degree murder, publishing obscene material, and criminally harassing Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other Members of Parliament. Some of Lin’s body parts were mailed to addresses across Canada, including political offices in Ottawa. Magnotta was arrested by authorities in Berlin, after an international manhunt.
