Nelson Mandela remains in critical condition

Prayers are being said for Nelson Mandela across South Africa and around the world tonight, as the 94-year old anti-apartheid hero remains in critical condition.

Today, Mandela’s ex-wife Winnie arrived at the hospital with a police escort, which suggests she was in a hurry to get there. Mandela’s condition worsened over the weekend. One source says he’s not been able to breathe on his own, and has needed help.

Doctors are doing everything possible to help Mandela with his wife by his side. She has been with him over the last two weeks, and one of his daughters says the family is taking things day by day.
