Trudeau wins Liberal Leadership

Justin Trudeau is the new leader of the Liberal Party.

The federal Liberals officially named Trudeau their new leader Sunday, 45 years to the month after his father, Pierre Trudeau, took the same position. It was an overwhelming majority on the first ballot for Trudeau, who won the support of about 80 per cent of Liberals who voted.

Vancouver MP Joyce Murray came a distant second, followed by former MP Martha Hall Findlay.
