The questions continue to pile up in the bizarre murder and dismemberment involving a chinese student studying in Montreal, and it appears more likely tonight that the remains mailed to schools in B.C. will be a part of the ever-expanding investigation.

Montreal Police will not confirm that a hand, and foot mailed to two Vancouver area schools, belonged to murder victim Jun Lin of Montreal – but they have said that the packages containing the body parts were mailed from Montreal, and that the right hand and right foot match the items that police have been looking for. They are waiting for forensic testing, to confirm the results.

The victim’s head is still missing.

Jun Lin’s parents arrived in Montreal with two other family members today, and have spoken to police there about their son’s death. Police say finding all of Jun Lin’s missing body parts is a high priority.

After previous denials, Montreal Police now confirm that there were notes included inside the grisly packages mailed to Ottawa, and Vancouver. They refuse to release details but say a note sent to the Conservative party in Ottawa led to charges of threatening the prime minister being filed against Luka Magnotta on Monday.
