Trudeau and Brazeau face off

Liberal MP Justin Trudeau and Conservative Senator Patrick Brazeau go toe-to-toe today in a charity boxing match in Ottawa.

The rivals have been training for several months, but Brazeau is the media favourite. He has a black belt in karate and is a former member of the Canadian military.

Trudeau, son of the former prime minister, took up boxing 20 years ago, and has a considerable height and reach advantage over Brazeau.

The two politicians are taking part in the annual Fight for the Cure, and it’s expected the event will raise about $200, 000 for cancer research.
