Here comes the … er … another budget
This time from Ottawa.
Apparently, the Harper government is about to make some deep cuts in spending.
Sources say $7 billion will be chopped from discretionary spending when Jim Flaherty delivers his latest budget.
The Finance Minister has insisted it would be wrong to view it was an ”austerity” document.
With its fiscal position improving, the government is looking at keeping cutbacks at the low end of the $4 billion to $8 billion range.
