Hamilton Police take part in nation-wide crime ring
More than 900 police officers across Canada are trying to bring down an organized crime ring involved in guns, prostitution and a host of other crimes.

They are part of a joint task force, involving more than 20 different law inforcement organizations, stretching from Ontario to British Columbia.<br />
The initiative is called “Project Marvel,” and it kicked off early Tuesday morning with police conducting raids in 10 different cities, including two in east Hamilton.<br />
Evidence has been seized and police have carried out a number of arrests, but it’s not known yet how many people have been swept up by the operation.<br />
Police say they will provide more information at a news conference Tuesday afternoon, but at least one homeowner from a raided house on Roxborough Avenue in Hamilton says police got the wrong address.<br />
Police have also raided homes in Toronto, Windsor, Ottawa, Durham, York and Calgary.<br />
