As we move farther, and farther away from the wars that changed the world, some may say we are also moving away from the things that thousands of Canadians fought and died for – freedom, democracy and the right to vote.

But one of Canada’s most famous fighter pilots doesn’t see it that way. Richard Rohmer, born in Hamilton, spent his time flying over France and Germany in the Second World War. And as Scot Urquhart tells us – even late in life, he believes it was worth every moment.
