Crash on Highway 403 near Burlington sends 7 to hospital: police

A two-vehicle crash in Burlington sent seven people to hospital early Sunday.

Provincial police say the collision happened around 1 a.m. on Highway 403 near Waterdown Road.

Two of the seven people taken to hospital were in critical condition. Another two were in serious condition, and three had minor injuries.

The roadway was temporarily closed but has since re-opened.

The cause of the crash remains unknown. Police have have yet to say if charges have been laid in the investigation.
