Halton police offer $50K reward in 2019 murder of Georgetown father

Halton police are offering a $50,000 reward for information in connection with the 2019 murder of a Georgetown father of three.
Ryan Lorde, 36, was gunned down outside his home in the area of Monarch Dr. and Niagara Trail shortly after 11 p.m. on Oct. 29, 2019.
Police previously identified a vehicle they believed may be linked to Lorde’s murder.

It is described as a black, four-door, 2007 to 2009 Toyota Camry or similar model.
Detectives say it is possible that the vehicle was rented, loaned, stolen, or sold at the time of the murder.
On Thursday, Halton police tweeted a video announcing the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Lorde’s death.
“The murder of Ryan Lorde has had a significant impact on the sense of safety and well-being of the local community,” said Det. Sgt. Trevor Bradley. “More importantly, his family was left devastated.”

Police are asking anyone with information, CCTV video footage or dash cam video that may help with the investigation to call the homicide tip line at 905-825-4776.
