School bus with 19 kids on board involved in collision in Burlington

Halton police say a school bus carrying several students has been involved in a crash in Burlington.

Police say a vehicle rear-ended the bus on Dundas St. in the westbound lanes near Brant St. around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Halton police say the male driver was extricated from the vehicle. He was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

There were 19 students on board and one driver when the bus was struck. Police say three students were also taken to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Dundas St. at Brant St. is closed for the investigation. Police do not know how long the closure will be in effect.
