Police identify 25-year-old man killed in shooting at Hamilton restaurant

Hamilton police have identified the victim in Sunday’s shooting at a local bar and lounge.
Police say Ali Ghorbani, 25, was fatally shot inside Raoabe Restaurant early Sunday morning.
According to a news release issued by Hamilton police, Ghorbani’s family is requesting privacy at this time.
Emergency crews were called to the Upper Ottawa St. bar around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a shooting.
Officers found Ghorbani suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police say there was a “large number of patrons” inside the bar at the time of the shooting and two suspects were seen fleeing the scene in dark coloured clothing.
Investigators are encouraging any potential witnesses to come forward.
Back in September, a man in his twenties was shot in the parking lot of the plaza where the restaurant is located.

The victim in that shooting was taken to hospital with serious injuries. At the time, police said it was a targeted incident.
