Tractor and transport truck ‘severely damaged’ in Wainfleet crash

Police say two vehicles have been “severely damaged” in a two-vehicle crash in Wainfleet.

It happened in the area of Forks Rd. and Youngs Rd. North around 5:45 p.m. on Monday.

Police say a 69-year-old man was driving a green semi-tractor trailer eastbound on Forks Rd. He was travelling behind a 47-year-old man who was operating a red tractor.

The 69-year-old driver tried to pass the tractor but collided into the back of the vehicle. The tractor overturned and landed in a ditch.

Police say there were no injuries reported in the crash.

The 69-year-old man has been charged with fail to turn out to left to avoid collision under the Highway Traffic Act.
