Drivers in Burlington can expect some delays over the next two weeks as repair work will force intermittent shutdowns of the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge.

The shutdowns are expected to begin on Oct. 29 and take place until Nov. 15.

Public Services and Procurement Canada says the bridge will close “intermittently for varying intervals” between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The closures will include sidewalks, and the north and south vehicle lanes.

The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists can expect delays while work is being completed.
