Ontario reports 328 new cases of COVID-19, 4 more deaths

Ontario is reporting 328 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and four more deaths related to the virus.
Health Minister Christine Elliott says 223 of the infected people are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
She says 105 of the cases are in fully vaccinated people.
The data is based on 20,792 tests completed on the previous day.
The province says 12,399 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24-hour period for a total of more than 22.2 million.
Elliott says 87.5 per cent of Ontarians aged 12 and older have received one dose and 83.2 per cent have two doses.
She says 260 people are currently in hospital due to COVID-19. Of those in hospital, 225 are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status and 35 are fully vaccinated.
There are currently 159 patients in intensive care with COVID-related critical illnesses and 101 on ventilators.
Of the province’s 626 long-term care homes, at least eight are in an outbreak including Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie.
An active COVID-19 outbreak indicates that the home has at least one lab-confirmed case of COVID-19 (in resident or staff) and the local public health unit or the home has declared an outbreak.
