OPP investigates theft of flags from veterans memorial

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after multiple flags were stolen from a veterans memorial in Dunnville.

Police say six flags and three flag poles have been taken from the “Flags of Remembrance” display at Wingfield Park on Main St.

The memorial features 128 full-size Canadian flags and each flag represents 1000 Canadian Military members.

The memorial was unveiled on Sept. 11 and is scheduled to be removed on Nov. 12.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
