Update: Two lanes are now open, the right lane remains closed.

An early-morning truck fire shut down the Toronto-bound lanes of the QEW in Burlington.

Crews were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says the section of the highway is closed between North Shore Blvd. and Highway 403.

A CHCH News viewer who was traveling on Fairview St. near Plains Rd. East pulled over and captured video of the blaze.

The footage shows a large fire on the overpass and two small explosions can be heard.

Fire crews arrived on scene and begin dousing the fire with water.

OPP says the truck was carrying a load of batteries.

Burlington Ontario Provincial Police is investigating and says the closure will be moved to Fairview St. shortly.

No injuries have been reported.

It is unknown when the roadway is expected to reopen.
