Driver caught going 110 km/h over speed limit: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police says a Norfolk County resident has been charged after a vehicle was caught going 110 km/h over the posted speed limit.

Police say the driver was stopped by officers on Queensway West in Simcoe.

The vehicle was clocked going 160 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone.

Police say a 26-year-old has been charged and their license has been suspended. The vehicle was also impounded for seven days.

In a tweet, police warned drivers to slow down saying, “it’s not worth the risk!”
