Man steals laptop by shoving it down his pants: Halton police

Halton police are looking for a man who stole a laptop from a Burlington electronics store by shoving it down his pants.

It happened at the Best Buy on Brant St. around 7:35 p.m. on July 2.

Police say the man grabbed a demo ASUS laptop valued at $1,300 and put it in the front of his pants.

He then left the store with the computer.

Police have released two images of the man wanted in connection with the theft.

He is described as white, between 35 and 45 years of age, roughly six feet, 200 lbs, with black hair. The man was wearing a baseball cap, a black shirt, a black jacket, and grey pants and shoes. He was also wearing a medical mask.

Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to contact Halton police or Crime Stoppers.
