Tip leads to arrest of man wanted for sexual assault: OPP

Ontario Provincial Police has arrested a Huron County man who was wanted for numerous charges including sexual assault.

Police made a plea for the public’s help in locating 45-year-old Shawn Elliott.

Elliott was wanted for three counts of sexual assault, two counts of assault, and one count each of sexual assault with a weapon, assault with a weapon, break and enter, mischief and fail to comply probation.

The charges are in relation to incidents that allegedly happened in Huron County.

Police say Elliott was arrested Wednesday night in Listowel without incident after investigators received a tip.
