Bobby’s Place

A groundbreaking ceremony took place in Waterdown for a community centre that is meant to bring all locals together.

The Grace Anglican Church started the planning process on the centre four years ago. They are calling it “Bobby’s Place”, named after local Bobby Smylie who died from the flu in 2018 at the age of 10. The church says the centre will provide a meeting space to learn, socialize, and grow.

Construction on “Bobby’s Place” will begin in a few weeks and they hope to have it finished by the Fall.
