Officials say fire at Wellington Place Apartments in Hamilton not suspicious

Hamilton fire officials say the cause of a late night fire in central Hamilton is not suspicious.
Fire crews were called to a structure fire at the Wellington Place Apartments, at Wellington St. N and Wilson Ave., just before 11 p.m. Monday.

Flames could be seen on the balcony of a unit of the 15th floor.
One person was rescued from the unit and taken to hospital. No other injuries were reported.
The fire was put out quickly. Damage has been estimated at $150,000.
Officials say there is significant smoke and fire damage in the apartment and balcony. The balcony also has some structural damage.
