Man charged in sexual assault of a woman in her 80s: Niagara police

Niagara police say a 38-year-old man has been charged after sexually assaulting a woman in her 80s.

Police say the investigation began last month after a woman reported an incident involving a man she met through the dating app Zoosk.

Investigators say the man identified himself on the app as a 77-year-old man named Hag.

They say the man sexually assaulted the woman when they met in person in the Town of Lincoln.

Ahmed Hagras, 38, of North York was arrested Friday in Niagara Falls. He’s charged with sexual assault, failing to comply with probation and obstruction of justice.

Police say he is known to be active on Zoosk and Our Time dating apps as “Hag.”

They believe there could be other victims.
