Halton Region is once again expanding COVID-19 vaccine eligibility.

The first group of essential workers 18 and older who live or work in Halton and can’t work from home will now be able to book a vaccine.

The group includes:

  • Elementary and secondary school workers: teachers, custodial staff, school bus drivers and administrative staff who are currently working in person.
  • Workers responding to critical events: police, fire, special constables, children’s aid society workers
  • Enforcement, inspection and compliance roles: bylaw enforcement, building inspectors, labour inspectors and animal welfare inspectors
  • People working in childcare

People in this group will need to bring a completed COVID-19 Proof of Employment Attestation Form, signed by their employer, to appointments.

The region is also offering a vaccine to all healthcare workers who live or work in Halton and cannot work from home.

Residents 16 and older that fall into the province’s highest-risk health condition and high-risk health condition categories and their caregivers are also able to book.

There are six COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the region.
