COVID-19 outbreak leads to virtual learning at Hamilton elementary school

There are 716 active Covid-19 outbreaks in Ontario. More than 35% of them are in schools and 15 of those are in Hamilton. We are learning that “Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Elementary” will be moving to virtual learning due to the outbreak there. There are at least 13 cases tied to the school including 12 students and one staff member being infected. The entire school will move to virtual learning effective Tuesday with a return to in-person learning on Monday, April 19th. The Catholic Board says the decision was made with many staff in quarantine.
