Fire on Hamilton Mountain early Wednesday morning deemed to be suspicious

Hamilton police say the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate a suspicious fire on the Mountain early Wednesday morning.
Firefighters were called to a structure fire on Upper Wellington St., near Inverness Ave. E, around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.

It is the former site of the Bible For Mission Thrift Store, which has since moved to Upper Gage Ave.
Crews reported heavy fire and smoke at the back of the building.
No one was injured in the blaze.
Police tell CHCH News they believe the fire is suspicious and have contacted the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal.
Damage is estimated at $425,000.
