Man wanted for attempted murder in Main Street attack arrested

A man wanted for attempted murder in an assault that left a man on life-support has been arrested, Hamilton police say.

27-year-old Jason Anthony Long was arrested Tuesday night in the area of Barton St. E and Westinghouse Ave. after an hours-long standoff.

A woman was also arrested for accessory after the fact.

Police say Long was involved in an assault at an apartment near Main St. and Burris St. on Feb. 10.

The 30-year-old victim remains in hospital on life-support. Police say his prognosis is not good.
