Community groups call for the resignation of four Hamilton public school board trustees

The Hamilton Wentworth District school board met tonight, and the agenda called for the resignations of four board trustees.
In August, former student trustee Ahona Mehdi launched a series of tweets alleging racist behaviour by school board trustees and several community groups demanded their resignations.
None of the four trustees stepped down tonight, and board chair Dawn Danko noted the third-party investigation didn’t call for any penalties despite finding troubling evidence, including one trustee making anti-Muslim statements to other trustees.
