COVID-19 outbreak declared at a third Hamilton school

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at another school in the city — the third school outbreak in two days.
The Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board says there are two confirmed staff cases of the virus at St. Ann Hamilton Catholic Elementary School.
This is the second outbreak within the Catholic board. St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Elementary School closed on Friday, after four staff and one student case of the virus.

Currently there are 11 schools within the Catholic board with confirmed cases of the virus. There are nine active staff and nine active student cases.
Also on Wednesday, Hamilton public health declared an outbreak at A.M. Cunningham Elementary School, in the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.
In-class learning resumed for students in Hamilton on Feb. 8.
