Helicopter makes emergency landing at Niagara airport

Mechanical problems forced a helicopter to make an emergency landing this morning at the Niagara District Airport.

Initial reports were that the helicopter was smoking on the runway. It’s not clear where the chopper was coming from or where it was going.

There were no injuries reported but the taxi way at the airport was closed temporarily.
