LATEST STORIES:
Ford reaction continues

It’s not just from inside Toronto City Council that opinions and advice are being voiced. And while Ford doesn’t seem to be interested in listening to anyone right now, the voice of a staunch Conservative ally, may have caught his ear. Scot Urquhart has that story.
As you say, a staunch political ally indeed, and perhaps a personal friend as well. Before the latest video was released. Federal Finance Minister, Jim Flaherty, spoke briefly about his longtime association with Rob Ford. He was asked about Ford during a media conference Thursday and a visibly emotional Flaherty gave his thoughts when asked whether he thinks the Mayor should seek treatment: “At the end of the day, he has to make his own decisions about what he has to do. Certainly his family is helping him. That’s all I can say.”
And it seems that almost everyone you talk to, has some opinion on the subject. Whether they live in the city of Toronto or here, in Hamilton:
Developments may now have reached a tipping point for Rob Ford. With the release of the videotape, and a leaked memo from his office regarding improper behaviour by the Mayor on St. Patrick’s Day, it appears that anyone with “dirt” on Rob Ford is beginning to come forward, and pile it on. Whether in the end it will actually bury Ford, and his career, is uncertain. But the question on everyone’s lips right now seems to be “what’s next?”
