Skull was anatomical study tool

(Update)
Hamilton police say a human skull found on the Niagara Escarpment has been deemed not suspicious and say it was a prepared anatomical specimen like ones used in classrooms.
The skull was found by a hiker on October 22nd in the area of McNeilly Road in Stoney Creek. There was speculation that it could be part of the remains of Shirley Treadwell, a woman who was buried in 2009 by her niece, Melinda Evans. Evans pled guilty to interfering with Treadwell’s remains and cashing her social assistance cheques after she died.
