Hamilton man charged with impaired driving

A 20-year old Hamilton man is facing a number of criminal charges, after allegedly hitting three vehicles while impaired over the weekend.

Police say he rear-ended a parked trailer, and struck two other parked vehicles while driving north on Ferguson Avenue near Wood Street yesterday. He fled the scene, but returned briefly to rescue two people inside his vehicle, which had caught fire. Both occupants have non-serious injuries.

Police say Dillon Palmer blew twice the legal limit and is facing charges including impaired driving, dangerous driving, and failing to remain at a collision.
