Ontario to crack down on animal cruelty

The Government of Ontario will move to beef up the battle against animal cruelty with a $5.5 million initiative to crack down on puppy mills, private zoos, aquariums, and animal abuse, as well as ensure regular inspections for animals held in captivity.
It’s an initiative welcomed by the Ontario SPCA and animal lovers, and nowhere was that more apparent than in Brantford today.
