One day in the life of Burlington contest

Picture a day in the life of your city. That’s what 142 Burlington photographers have been doing over the past 24 hours.
The “One day in the life of Burlington” photo contest started today at 12:01am, and it wraps up at midnight.
Amateur photographers were out and about all day trying to get the perfect snapshot of their city.
Looking at burlington through the lens of a camera gives you a fresh perspective.
“This is definitely a typical day in my life in Burlington.”
For the Marsh family, waking up at the crack of dawn to take pictures is nothing out of the ordinary.
So capturing snapshots for the “One day in the life of Burlington” contest was a no-brainer.
“When you see the Skyway Bridge or you see the pier or you see Spencer Smith Park, you’re like, oh, that’s in Burlington,” says resident Ryanne Florence.
The rules are simple: 24 hours, forty photos, and no deleting.
“Taking photos and exploring and actually looking for different things, you really realize everything that’s beautiful about Burlington,” says Florence.
While the grand prize would be a nice reward, for the Marshes, it’s really about capturing moments.
“Just keeping all those memories is just so important to me. So I always have a camera on me.”
