Niagara Regional Police and Autism Ontario announced a partnership in St. Catharines Monday that creates a registry for people with autism spectrum disorders. The voluntary program gives police immediate access to critical information in emergency situations. Things like contact information, physical description, known routines and special needs. There are about five-thousand people diagnosed with autism living in Niagara region.
