Horwath and Wynne speak privately

It was Andrea Horwath’s turn to talk privately with Premier Wynne Monday evening. Horwath was all smiles on her way in to the one on one with the Liberal leader; perhaps hopeful she’d have better luck finding common ground with Wynne than PC leader Tim Hudak last week. But when she came out of the meeting, after just 12 minutes, Horwath didn’t seem too impressed with what she heard. She says she kept her demands up for the minority Liberals to follow up on the commitments made to get the budget passed earlier this year.

Horwath says it’s up to the Premier to do what she promised around home care waiting lists, and reducing auto insurance rates. She also said there’s no guarantee the New Democrats will support all of the bills the government brings forward.
