Tim’s Tribute fundraiser

A fundraiser was held at Turkstra Lumber in Hamilton Friday for “Tim’s Tribute.”

The charity was created by Tim’s widow, Sharlene. Tim’s Tribute helps other families of homicide victims with expenses like burial costs. Turkstra Lumber decided to host the fundraiser, because Bosma’s murder hit close to home.

Andrew Luth is the Branch Manger at Turkstra Lumber: “We chose to do this because tim was a customer of ours and he was also a friend of a lot of our customers, so we figured we’d help in the way that we could.”

Friday’s event raised a little more than $800. “Tim’s Tribute” also works with the victim’s services police departments to help identify those in need.
