Brantford animal control has rescued 40 pythons from a motel in the city. The snakes range from 30 centimeters to 1.5 meters long. The Brant County SPCA has taken control of the snakes. After a check from their veterinarian, it appears they’ll be fine.

A python was also found in Hamilton this week. Police were called yesterday, when a four foot ball python slithered out of the bushes near Lawrence Avenue and King Street East. Animal control recovered the snake.

Melissa Raftis was in Brantford, and filed this report.
