Halton Police and the OPP are investigating a two car crash on the QEW overnight that resulted in one of the vehicles bursting into flames.

The vehicles collided on the off ramp from Trafalgar Road to the QEW eastbound just before two o’clock this morning.

A Toyota Highlander caught fire but no one was inside when firefighters arrived to put out the flames. At least one of the vehicles and possibly both were stolen.

Halton Police talked to the registered owner of one of the vehicles who reported two vehicles stolen from his home. No one was at the scene when police arrived.

A canine team was used to search for anyone who fled from the crash. No one was arrested.
